Pathan Movie Vishva Hindu Parishad has said that they will not oppose Shah Rukh Khan's film Pathan. Several changes were made to the film following protests by the VHP, following which the Vishwa Hindu Parishad withdrew the protest.

Vishva Hindu Parishad has said that it will not oppose Shah Rukh Khan's film Pathan. They have left it to the audience to decide whether or not to watch the film after the controversial lyrics and scenes of the song were removed on the instructions of the censor board. The Gujarat government had earlier assured the security of multiplexes during the film's screening.


VHP's Gujarat unit withdraws protest


The Gujarat unit of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) on Tuesday withdrew its protest against Shah Rukh Khan starrer 'Pathan' a day before its release and expressed satisfaction over the removal of 'objectionable' content from the film. Ashok Rawal, secretary of the VHP's Gujarat unit, said in a statement that the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has revised the "obscene songs" and "obscene words" in the film, so right-wing groups will no longer oppose its release.
